Drawing attention to the adoption of the 2010 Act on the Implementation of Certain Provisions of the European Union in the Field of Equal Treatment, the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights stated that it was limited to the implementation of EU anti-discrimination directives and that the Government had not attempted to adopt a comprehensive law that would cover anti-discrimination in all main areas.
Racism in Polish society remains a serious problem, and people of other nationalities experience discrimination in various aspects of everyday life, including access to health care, social benefits, the labour market and housing.
