Situation of human rights defenders in the government-controlled territories of Ukraine
The report presents more than 50 cases of interference with activities of human rights defenders and civil society activists in the government-controlled territory of Ukraine during three years after Euromaidan (March 2014 – March 2017), including legislative and practical aspects of exercising the freedom of peaceful assembly and movement, incidents of physical violence (murder, violent assault), property damage, criminal and administrative prosecution, threats, surveillance, smear campaigns and other forms of pressure.
