Independent Belarusian Media Support Programme - open call

In the face of unrelenting repression on the civil society in Belarus, which forces representatives of independent media to relocate their activities to the territory of other countries, including Poland, the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights announces the launch of the grant competition Independent Belarusian Media Support Programme. The programme is aimed at small, independent Belarusian media projects in exile, which maintain contact with audiences inside Belarus and direct the content they create to them.

The Independent Belarusian Media Support Programme aims to support the activities undertaken by independent Belarusian editorial offices and media projects and contribute to their long-term sustainability and stability. Independent media are the foundation of a strong civil society.

More detailed information about the competition is contained in the competition announcement (English and Russian).

Those wishing to participate in the Independent Belarusian Media Support Programme grant competition are asked to fill in the application on the basis of the form attached below. Applications are accepted in English and Russian.

Competition applications will be accepted until 28 October 2024 at 16:00 CET.

In addition, an online meeting will be held on 11 October at 14:00 CET, during which HFPC representatives will answer questions about the Independent Belarusian Media Support Programme.
