Winter brings a particular threat to the health and life of refugees. Every
push-back and leaving people in the cold without access to food, water and
warm shelter can end tragically. Especially now, it is important to take action to
de-escalate violence and prevent further deaths caused by hypothermia.
Recently, medical humanitarian organizations have started operating in Podlasie. Yet still more support is needed.
Between October 1 and November 30:
● we received requests for humanitarian aid from 1104 people,
● we managed to provide humanitarian aid to 629 people,
● we provided legal assistance to 16 people,
● we provided specialistic medical assistance to 118 people,
● we documented 200 push-backs,
● we reported that 21 people were missing.
