Migrants missing at the Polish-Belarussian border – legal aid and assistance
Our activities are guided by the principle of respect for the right of the missing person to self-determination, personal safety (taking into account their often complicated situation) and based on an ethical approach to the other person. The support we provide is free of charge and is primarily aimed at protecting the missing person. In selected cases, in cooperation with the families, HFHR lawyers will conduct strategic litigation aimed at bringing about a favorable court settlement and recognition of violations or omissions by the Polish authorities in carrying out their obligations under, among others, the European Convention on Human Rights.
